I painted this wall in Raiano, L’Aquila, for the first earthquake proof school realized in Abruzzo, Italy.

The theme behind the wall was the gender violence. In Italy over 100 women are killed every year and thousands of women pass through harasments, violences and abuses.

That’s why the decision to paint on a school wall. The students of this primary school chose between different drawings this sketch cause as they said, the simplicity of the image show the possibility to relate to genders with equality and kindness.

Small acts can change an entire system.
