Five murals i realized in my hometown Mesagne.
The first mural of the project is titled “Turci vinchitieddu quandu è tinirieddu”
literally translated :“Bend the tree when it is young”
The title is a local proverb in dialect and it means that everything
could be changed and improved only when it’s not too late.
The second one is “Cugghi l’acqua quando chiovi”
literally translated: ”pick the water when it rains”
The title is a local proverb in dialect and it means when you have an
opportunity you have to take it and don’t let it pass you by.
The third mural of the project is called “L’amori è cicatu ma veti luntanu”
Literally translated : “Love is blind but it sees far”
The title is a local proverb in dialect, it means that love has the ability to see and notice everything, even if we think it’s blind.
The fourth mural is “A ci sputa ‘ncielu ‘ncapu li cati”
Literally translated :“If you spit in the sky it will fall on your head”
The title is a local proverb in dialect it means that all the negative things you do, soon or later will fall back on you.
The Fifth mural of the project ”As the saying goes” is titled
“A ‘ddo rrivi chianti lu zippu”
literally translated : ”leave a mark where you arrive”.
The title is a local proverb in dialect It means that you have to take your time to realize your will. You don’t have to run.
