Aute Ma'ohi

Aute Ma’ohi / Tahitian Ibiscus
This is the mural I realized for Ono’u Tahiti in La Mission area in Papeete.
The goal of the project was to bring art in favor of social housing and all the the walls realized during this edition are located on social residencies for under privileged families of Tahiti.
Tahitian people are known worldwide for their gentle behavior and hospitality and the island itself is an amazing and pure mix of nature, human environment and cultural heritage.
To be immersed in this unique scenario has been truly inspiring and allowed me to reflect also on how ephemeral could be the beauty of such this paradise on earth if we don’t take care of it.
Tahitian people are so connected to nature that all of their lives are based on it.
Holding a flower could appear as a simple gesture but here I discovered that hides the pure respect towards every creations of mother nature, and this is something that sometimes unfortunately we forget.
